Fix A Leak

Fix a Leak Now To Avoid A Big Bill Later

When it comes to water and emergency plumbing, we think the truism that “An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure”, definitely applies.

If water is getting where it shouldn’t go, then catching it early is absolutely essential. Even a minor drip, if left unchecked could be enough, over time to cause water damage, damp, mould growth, unpleasant smells, damage to soft furnishings and even structural damage.

That small drip could also be a symptom of a larger problem and there’s also a chance that it could get suddenly, even dramatically worse.

Fix a Leak, Prevent A Flood

There’s no good reason to leave a problem drip or leak unresolved. While it might cost a little cash to get a plumber out to fix a leak, this pales in comparison to the repair bill you might end up with if you leave it alone. Not to mention that damp homes carry with them some pretty unpleasant health hazards too.

I’ve Discovered A Leak, What Do I Do?

If you find a leak there are a few simple steps you can perform straight away to stop things from getting worse.

  • Place buckets etc to catch drips
  • If the leak can be isolated, cut off the supply feeding it
  • If not, turn off your water at the mains
  • Once mains water is off, Open up taps to allow water already in the system to drain out.
  • Contact us at Plumb 24 Seven and let us know it’s an emergency
